ABOUT
EGYPT EXPO & CONVENTION AUTHORITY
(EECA)
| Egypt Expo & Convention Authority (EECA) is the official governmental entity responsible for organizing and managing the exhibitions and conventions industry in Egypt at both the national and international levels. |
| Established pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 323 of 1956, EECA has undergone several phases of restructuring development to strengthen its role in supporting Egypt’s trade and investment landscape. |
| A significant milestone In this development was the integration of the Cairo International Convention Center into EECA’s organizational structure in 2008. This was followed by a comprehensive restructuring under Decree No. 345 of 2009, which further enhanced EECA’s capacity as an integrated economic organization supporting Egypt’s participation in the global exhibitions and events industry. |
| EECA’s vision Is reflected in the following strategic roles and objectives: |
| Supporting the National Economy: |
| Operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, EECA contributes to the promotion of domestic and international trade by facilitating business platforms that connect Egyptian producers with global markets and create new opportunities for Egyptian exports. |
| Regulation and Oversight: |
| EECA regulates the exhibitions sector in Egypt and issues licenses to companies operating in this field, ensuring the organization, professionalism, and quality standards of exhibitions and conferences held across the country. |
| International Promotion: |
| EECA works to enhance the global presence of Egyptian products by organizing Egyptian pavilions at major international exhibitions and coordinating participation in specialized trade events worldwide. |
| Management of Exhibition and Convention Facilities: |
| EECA oversees the operation and development of exhibition halls and convention facilities located in Nasr City, ensuring they meet the highest operational and technical standards. These facilities play a key role in positioning Egypt as a leading regional destination for major international exhibitions, conferences, and business events. |
| Through these strategic functions, EECA continues to strengthen its role as a central regulatory body and a key driver of foreign trade development, serving as an official platform for promoting Egyptian industry, attracting investment, and supporting the achievement of Egypt’s economic development objectives. |
