Q1: What is the Egypt Expo & Convention Authority (EECA)? What is its legal framework and primary mandate?
Answer : The Egypt Expo & Convention Authority (EECA), affiliated with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, is the sole official entity in the Arab Republic of Egypt legally authorized to issue and grant all necessary licenses for organizing or participating in exhibitions of all types (commercial, industrial, real estate, or tourism), as well as bazaars and craft fairs. This grants it the regulatory and supervisory authority to ensure sector discipline according to international standards and the state's national plan.
Within this legal framework, the Authority undertakes a comprehensive package of strategic tasks, including:
* Organizing and monitoring Egypt’s participation in specialized international exhibitions abroad, in cooperation with Export Councils and Trade Representation Offices.
* Providing comprehensive technical and logistical subsidy to exporters and Egyptian companies to facilitate their products' access to global markets.
* Organizing foreign trade missions and hosting international buyer missions domestically to enhance direct contracting opportunities and build sustainable economic partnerships.

Q2: What is the nature of the internal exhibitions hosted by the Authority, and what are the booking procedures?
Answer :The Authority hosts all types of events (commercial, industrial, real estate, tourism, and bazaars) at its Nasr City headquarters. Booking procedures involve submitting an official request during the specified application periods. The Authority then issues the necessary licenses to organizers. A prerequisite for booking is the settlement of all previous financial dues; events are not permitted for entities with outstanding debts or unpaid fines.
